Finally!

Just wanted to give a quick update, even though there is lots to talk about. Here are some highlights:

  • Science Night was amazing! I hope everyone got the chance to attend and see for yourselves, but in case you missed it, the 6th graders helped to put on quite a show! I was incredibly impressed by the hard work and determination students put in, and it showed. Congratulations!
  • Tonight is the Masquerade Ball, but I bet you already knew that! The entire grade is abuzz with excitement, and we can't wait to see everyone's masks and costumes. It should be a great time!
  • On the Language end of things, we are wrapping up our novel Number the Stars, and the entire class seemed to enjoy it. They don't know it yet, but we're starting one of my favorite books, Hatchet, when they return.
  • CMT's are right around the corner!
  • In Science news, we are in the midst of chemistry, and students are finding it not as explosive as they hoped! :) We are covering volume and the metric system now, and will be continuing to move along quickly through February and March.
  • Midterms will be mailed out tomorrow, just in time for vacation!
Hope everyone is enjoying their winter and looking forward to a wondrous spring!
